Dory Harvey was born in Lincoln England. At only 19 she decided to experience other cultures and took off on a great adventure. Her journey began in Israel where she lived and worked on a Kibbutz and then traveled across most of Europe. Having been away for some time on her return to England she decided to go back to Uni and studied Furniture Reproduction. She had a creative gift and made beautiful pieces of furniture and once graduated then worked as a cabinet maker. Having met many Australians on her travels and spending a year in Australia, in 2000 she decided to immigrate to the amazing land down under. She lived in Perth Western Australia for 9 years before moving to the other side of the country to Tasmania which is a small island off the south east coast. Having spent just under 18 years away she returned to the UK and is now settled back into Lincolnshire life with her family.

I received this novel from the author herself and I enjoyed reading it to my little V. I even thing she enjoys it more than her other books! Since I got it as a ARC for review purposes I projected it on the wall to which Tiny just went crazy for the “wall book”.
Throughout the book the letter is highlighted to show spelling and it rhymes throughout with consistency. This im sure has helped my little learn to say a few more words! Shes 18 months now and boy, all the help can be great.
This is a great tool to help kids learn and to also not be so afraid of monsters with the bright colors, fun and friendly looking monsters. I giggled a few times at just how cute Harvey made this book. I will have to purchase this one for our shelf readings!
