Tasked with the care of their savior, Crewe’s main focus is survival. Used to giving orders, the knight isn’t prepared for the sassy witch’s mouth or her lure. I just want to say, I really really wanted to like this book. I think i pushed myself into seeing what it could be and maybe it tainted me. I hope once things wear off I’ll come back to it but right now I will not. I read this months ago and just now getting the review on my blog – I only choose to add a few and her writing skill is wonderful for a beginner. Maybe working on her craft more and revise it later on. Even redapt it and work the character development. I want to like it. I’m hoping to stumble upon one of her other novels or shorts to read and hopefully love. In my heart i want to give a 4.5 but i know I have to be honest in my reviews. I’m sorry.. This one really hurts. But someone, like many other readers, will enjoy it.

My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I received this ARC for a honest review.
This story had me intrigued from the beginning as it seemed different than anything I have ever seen nor read before. I was so eager to read it to see what happens. This book had so much potential but the story felt rushed and lacked depth. This lead me to lose interest in the book and wish I took back the time to make the playlist for the novel although it did add ambiance to it. Coming out of it I felt like I really didn’t know Keeta or Crewe that well. Which was unfortunate because they are interesting and complicated characters. I really wish more time had been spent developing them either leading into the back more or at least seeing the slow develop over time.
I read the first half of the story and had to put it down. I just could not handle it anymore as it was getting me flustered as how it was not leading up to my expectations. I was rightfully found this to be disappointing which is understandable if you saw the potential it could be.
