First of all thank you to IRead Book Tours and Lauren Carr for this ARC in exchange for a honest review.
This is the first book I’ve read from Carr and it was such a lovely and fun little cozy mystery. It’s set in PA which I understand faintly the geographic spots due to traveling through there when I was younger. It brought back memories I wasn’t sure I would still have but I guess our minds our wonderful little squishy things.
The fun cover to the lovely happening throughout the book along with side hurting from laughing. A must read for anyone whom loves to laugh with a cozy mystery. I ,however, had the audio book version and it did not disappoint. The reader was not to my liking but I grew to enjoy listening to her read to me. Carr did a wonderful job detailing everything that happened and left me in awe.
It all starts with Nikki as she was returning home to take over as the on air personality when her mother retires from the TV station. However, Ashleigh Addison who is a cool on air personality and Nikki’s childhood nemesis, ends up dead but just before her death, Ashleigh was to report a secret incident.
As things unfold there were clues I felt were pretty obvious but for some reason Nikki did not notice until it was painfully clear through investigation. Then there is the lovely dog and whether you like dogs or not, any animal trained like Nikki’s that also finds your phone and then drops it into your hand. It was precious.
